Chris Nell

Chris Nell currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at DeviantArt, Inc. since May 2022, having held various technical leadership roles within the company since 2011. At DeviantArt, Chris has overseen the development of innovative data-driven products as the founding Director of Devious Labs and as a Data Scientist, contributing to the creation of systems like "More Like This" and "Fair Exposure." Prior to this, Chris co-founded and led Tideline Data, a consulting firm specializing in big data solutions. Chris also worked in machine learning at Worio and has experience in product support engineering at Vorum RC. Chris holds an MSc in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia and a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Guelph.
