Eric Zhong has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Eric began their career as a Mechanical Design Intern at Ghafari Associates, where they designed mechanical systems and worked with software such as Autodesk Revit and Navisworks. Eric then worked as an R&D Co-Op at Keysight Technologies, designing and testing mechanical sub-systems for the Atomic Force Microscope team.

Eric later served as the President of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers- Cal Poly Chapter, where they coordinated networking events, communicated with industry professionals, and organized company tours. Eric also gained experience as a Project Engineering Intern at Phillips 66, and as a Project Management Intern at Tesla, where they developed a multimillion-dollar proposal and created leadership development courses.

As a Product Management Intern at the Cal Poly Digital Transformation Hub, Eric facilitated workshops and managed meetings for public sector projects. Eric also worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Phillips 66, where they designed a thermocouple data monitoring system and saved the company $40,000 in project development costs.

Eric subsequently founded their own company, Muni, where they created free web-based financial education courses and managed a team of 10. Eric then worked as a Financial Coach at EZ Financial Freedom, helping clients develop financial plans and conducting monthly coaching sessions.

Currently, Eric works as a Product Manager at WizeFi, a personal finance software company. Here, they oversee the development and growth of the software, while also providing financial coaching services and utilizing their expertise as a 30-year veteran of the financial services industry. Overall, Eric Zhong has a strong background in product management, coaching, and mechanical engineering.

Eric Zhong earned a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, from 2015 to 2019.
