Assef Azadeh has a diverse and extensive work experience in the nuclear industry. Assef started their career as a Full Instructor at Manhattan College, where they taught nuclear engineering courses and supervised the operations of a research reactor. Following this role, they worked as a Licensing Engineer at Dames & Moore, specializing in performance assessment modes.

Azadeh then joined Chem-Nuclear Systems, Inc. (CNSI), where they held several positions, including Licensing Manager and Senior Marketing Manager. Assef managed the development and implementation of disposal siting activities for a LLW (Low-Level Waste) Disposal Facility, and authored key documents related to the siting process. Additionally, they played a vital role in writing license application sections for a LLW Disposal Facility.

Assef further expanded their career in CNSI's managed subsidiary, Diversified Scientific Services, Inc. (DSSI), where they served as the Manager of Business Development. Assef was responsible for contracting, marketing, and business development of DSSI's services in commercial and government sectors, including the international market. Notably, they introduced niche high activity markets and contributed to the expansion of DSSI's service offerings.

Azadeh's next role was with Duratek Services, Inc. (Acquired CNSI), where they served as the VP of Commercial Integration. Assef played a pivotal role in turning around the profitability of waste processing facilities that had previously incurred losses. Assef developed waste receipt forecasts and improved financial forecasting for the company's production plans.

Assef then joined EnergySolutions EU Ltd as a Commercial Director, where they established and spearheaded the company's UK operations. Assef contributed to the significant revenue growth of EnergySolutions through acquisitions and the strategic implementation of a growth plan in the UK and European nuclear market.

In their subsequent role as Senior VP of Commercial Integration at EnergySolutions, Azadeh was responsible for the company's processing facilities strategy, contracting, and pricing. Assef led major proposals and contract negotiations with commercial and government entities, both domestically and internationally.

Currently, Azadeh holds the position of Commercial Director at WMG, Inc., where they focus on enhancing customer experience and bringing innovation to the marketplace. Assef specifically contributes to the company's presence in the US Department of Energy (DOE), US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP), and the international marketplace for services used by US Commercial Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs).

Assef Azadeh has a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Thermal Fluids from Manhattan College, which was completed in 1989. Assef also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in Nuclear Engineering, from the same institution. Additionally, Assef Azadeh has attended The Wharton School, where they participated in the Strategic Thinking (Leadership Program) without specific start and end years provided.
