Senior Motion Graphic Designer And Creative Design Lead at WM Reply

Emily Roberts has a diverse work experience in the field of motion graphic design, videography, and photography. Emily is currently working at WM Reply as a Senior Motion Graphic Designer and Creative Design Lead since December 2022. Previously, they worked as a Senior Motion Graphic Designer at the same company from September 2021 to December 2022, and as a Motion Graphic Designer from January 2020 to September 2021.

Emily also has freelance experience as a videographer, photographer, and motion graphic designer under their own company, Emily J. Roberts Media, which they started in 2008. Their freelance work primarily includes wedding videography, photography, filming music and comedy festivals, and creating explainer animations for clients.

Emily has also worked at Soup Creative Ltd, Video and animation specialists, from January 2016 to November 2019 as a Creative / Motion Graphic Designer. Their responsibilities included motion graphic design, filming on location, editing corporate interviews, promotional films, and TV commercials. Emily also had additional roles such as 3D modelling, photography, sound design, colour grading, researching, storyboarding, graphic design, writing blogs, and teaching workshops.

Furthermore, Emily has gained experience as a camera operator and editor for various events. Emily worked for Machynlleth Comedy Festival from May 2016 to May 2019, capturing and editing promotional videos. Emily also worked for The Big Tribute Festival from August 2015 to August 2018, filming live music acts and editing promotional videos. Additionally, they worked as a freelance video editor for Aussie Hair Care at V Festival 2016, as a freelance TV camera operator for Blood, Sweat and Gears from October 2015 to February 2016, and as a freelance editor for Dim Mak at Tomorrowland Belgium 2015 and Deckstar Artist Management for a viral music video.

Emily's work experience also includes a role as a Student Ambassador at Aberystwyth University from October 2014 to May 2015.

Emily Roberts has a diverse and extensive education history. Emily started their educational journey by being homeschooled through the Education Otherwise program from 1995 to 2008. In 2008, they attended Yale College, where they pursued a BTEC National Diploma in Media Production, which they completed in 2011.

Following their time at Yale College, Emily attended Newport Film School from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Documentary Film and TV. Emily then enrolled at Aberystwyth University from 2013 to 2015, earning another Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, this time in Film and TV.

In 2014, Emily took part in a Study Abroad Exchange Programme at Hong Kong Baptist University, focusing on Visual Arts. This experience allowed their to gain a broader perspective and incorporate new insights into their creative endeavors.

In addition to their formal education, Emily also pursued further certifications. In September 2021, they obtained an Intermediate 3D Animation certification from the School of Motion. This certification demonstrates their commitment to continuously enhancing their skills and staying up-to-date in their field.

Emily's education trajectory showcases their passion and dedication towards the visual arts and media production, with a specific focus on film, TV, and documentary-making.
