Miru Girma has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They started their career as a Public Relations Assistant Intern at the Royal Perth Hospital Medical Research Foundation in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Communications Consultant at Platform Communications Pty Ltd and also held the positions of Technical Writer, Web Developer, and Change Communicator at Newmont Mining Corporation.
From 2012 to 2013, Miru worked as a Public Affairs and Communications Officer and Project Manager for Records Management at Newmont Mining Corporation. They then returned to Platform Communications Pty Ltd as a Change and Communications Contractor in 2014. Later that year, they joined Newmont Mining Corporation as a Records Manager focusing on Change Management.
In 2015, Miru joined Rio Tinto as a Change Management Consultant on a secondment basis. They transitioned to freelance work in 2016 and served as a Communications Specialist. After that, they joined WM Reply in 2018 as an Adoption and Change Consultant, then progressed to the role of Senior Adoption and Change Consultant in 2020. Currently, Miru is working as an Adoption and Change Lead for Media, Telco, Manufacturing, and Public Sector industries at WM Reply since February 2021.
Miru Girma has studied at Curtin University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Public Relations and Marketing. Additionally, they participated in a Study Abroad Program at the University of Hertfordshire, focusing on Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication. In December 2019, Miru obtained a Change Management Practitioner Certification from Prosci. The start and end years for their education are not provided.
