Simon Rees has worked in the social media and marketing fields since 2005. Simon began their career as a Sales Executive at Boundary I Media, where they were responsible for approaching marketing managers and managing directors via phone to sell advertising space. In 2011, they moved to Passenger as an International Community Analyst/Community Manager, where they managed and maintained client relationships and developed and executed comprehensive social CRM strategies. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Social Media Community Manager at Beeby Clark+Meyler, where they managed and moderated branded social media channels and collaborated with brand teams to develop and execute social marketing and advertising strategies. In 2018, they joined Landor as a Global Social Media & Content Manager, where they built and executed global social media strategy for Landor agency channels and increased social media engagement by 58% and grew Instagram following by 200% organically. In 2020, they were a Social Media Manager at Verizon Business, and in 2021 they moved to Rockaway PR as a Social Media Director. Currently, they are the Director of Social Media at WMX.

Simon Rees attended Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys from 1997 to 2004. Simon then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in International Marketing from Baruch College from 2006 to 2010.
