Eric Szmurlo

Eric Szmurlo has extensive work experience in the energy infrastructure and finance sectors. Eric currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Wolf Midstream, a Canadian energy infrastructure company. In this role, they oversee the financial operations of the company, including the management of the Access Pipeline System, the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line, and NGL North. Prior to this, Eric held the position of Vice President, Finance at Wolf Midstream from May 2019 to November 2021, and the role of Vice President, Corporate Development from April 2016 to May 2019.

Before joining Wolf Midstream, Eric worked at CPP Investment Board, where they worked as a Principal in Infrastructure Investments from April 2012 to March 2017. Prior to that, they held the role of Associate in Infrastructure Investments from August 2009 to April 2012. Eric started their professional career at RBC Capital Markets as an Investment Banking Analyst, where they gained experience in financial analysis and consulting. Eric worked in this role from July 2004 to July 2007.

Eric also has early career experience as a Summer Analyst at ARC Financial Corp. during the summers of 2002 and 2003, where they gained exposure to the energy and financial sectors.

Eric Szmurlo completed their higher education in a chronological order. Eric started their academic journey at Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School from 1997 to 2000. Following high school, they attended Queen's University from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics. Eric then pursued further education at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Strategic Management.

In addition to their degrees, Eric Szmurlo also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification in September 2010 from the CFA Institute.
