Groovy Nate is an accomplished children's entertainer and teaching artist with a diverse background in music education and performance. Currently serving as a Teaching Artist with the Virginia Commission for the Arts and Teaching Artists of the Mid-Atlantic, Groovy Nate integrates music and imaginative play into educational settings across the DMV area. With extensive experience at prominent organizations, including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, Groovy Nate's contributions to arts education are significant. As the founder of Groovy Nate®, this GRAMMY-nominated artist creates engaging shows that blend funk, comedy, and exotic instruments, drawing inspiration from iconic children's programming. Groovy Nate's earlier experience includes a role as a songwriter for ReGeneration180. Education includes attendance at Howard University and service in the United States Navy.
