Nathan Jacobs

Patent Agent

Nathan Jacobs is an experienced Patent Agent at Wolf Greenfield since August 2020, specializing in the drafting and prosecution of U.S. patents. Prior to this role, Jacobs served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at NYU Langone Health, researching transmissibility and fitness trade-offs in Streptococcus pneumoniae and influenza A virus, culminating in a first-authored manuscript. Jacobs has also held academic positions at Emory University, where roles included Course Director for the Pre-College Program and PhD Candidate in Population Biology, Ecology, and Evolution, with a focus on pathogen life history and genomic integrity in influenza viruses. Jacobs began academia at Penn State University, where as a Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant, significant contributions were made to studies on host-pathogen interactions related to Bordetella. Currently, Jacobs is pursuing a JD at Suffolk University Law School, further expanding a diverse educational background that includes a PhD from Emory University and dual BS degrees from Penn State University.
