Oona Johnstone

Oona Johnstone is a shareholder and patent attorney at Wolf Greenfield, where since April 2007, Oona has developed and executed patent strategies for various biotech companies, including those focused on nucleic acid therapeutics, synthetic biology, and mRNA vaccines. Responsibilities include advising clients on patent term extensions and biosimilar product development, conducting IP due diligence, and representing clients in inter partes review proceedings. Oona began her career as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School, where research concentrated on posttranscriptional gene regulation in the mammalian brain. Oona holds a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biology from McGill University and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.
