Edwin Hermkens

Edwin Hermkens has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. In 2010, they started their career as a part-time employee of IT Helpdesk at Eindhoven University of Technology and later became a student advisor to the Board of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science from 2013 to 2014. During this time, they also served as a member of the University Council, representing the party Groep-één.

In 2012, Edwin established Claessen Hermkens IT, where they worked as the owner until 2015. In this role, they applied their expertise in IT to provide comprehensive solutions for clients.

In 2015, Edwin co-founded MedAppNL, a pharmacy app focused on helping people with chronic conditions. Edwin assumed the position of Co-founder & Chief Product Officer, contributing to the development and growth of the company.

In 2016, Edwin founded and directed Wolfpack NL, an organization dedicated to recruiting top tech talent and supporting the management team in their goal of making Eindhoven the premier destination for technology professionals.

Throughout their career, Edwin demonstrated a strong background in IT, entrepreneurship, and leadership, making valuable contributions to each company they were involved with.

Edwin Hermkens has an extensive educational background in the field of computer science and engineering. Edwin began their education at Connect College Echt, where they obtained their VWO degree in Natuur en techniek in the years 2001 to 2007.

Following their completion of secondary school, Edwin went on to pursue higher education at Eindhoven University of Technology. From 2007 to 2013, they earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science and engineering.

Continuing their academic journey, Edwin then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business information systems, specializing in Computer Science and engineering, at Eindhoven University of Technology. This program spanned from 2013 to 2016.

In addition to their degrees, Edwin Hermkens holds a certification in Master of Science (MSc), specializing in Business information systems (Computer Science and engineering), which was obtained at TU/e Eindhoven University of Technology.
