Evan Hall

Evan Hall currently serves as a Software Engineer II at Wolfram since February 2023. Previously, from March 2018 to February 2023, Evan worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Minnesota, specializing in hyperspectral image analysis and barley RNA analysis. Notable achievements include developing innovative methods for detecting germination in barley seeds through advanced 580-dimensional hyperspectral images and creating a deep neural network with TensorFlow that significantly improved prediction accuracy for barley germination. Evan also developed an interactive web application for visualizing hyperspectral images and conducted gene co-expression analysis that contributed to a publication. Evan holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, completed in May 2021.
