Jaebum Jung has a diverse work experience that spans over different companies and roles. Jaebum started their career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Sungkyunkwan University from 1998 to 2000. Jaebum then pursued their education further and became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2002 to 2006. Following that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the same university from 2007 to 2008.
In 2008, Jaebum joined Wolfram as a Technical Support Engineer for Mathematica, providing consulting-level developer support with a focus on challenging system and programming issues until 2010. Jaebum then transitioned to the role of Kernel Developer, where they were involved in the research and development of projects in the field of graph theory and geometry, primarily working on the Mathematica kernel implementation. Jaebum held this position until 2016.
From 2016 to 2021, Jaebum served as a Senior Kernel Developer at Wolfram, continuing their contributions to the field of graph theory and geometry through research and development projects. Additionally, they took on the responsibility of leading the team as the Lead Senior Developer starting in December 2021.
Jaebum Jung completed their Masters of Science degree in Mathematics at Sungkyunkwan University from 1999 to 2001. Following that, they pursued a Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating in 2008.
