Ashish Kumar

Ashish Kumar is a Research Scientist specializing in SiC Power Device design at Wolfspeed since January 2022, where responsibilities include leading device design efforts and developing future SiC power device concepts. Previously, Ashish served as a Medium-High Voltage Applications Engineer focused on gate driver designs for SiC power MOSFETs. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, a Master's degree from the Indian Institute of Science, and a Bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Additional experiences include roles as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar and Graduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University, as well as internships at Eaton involving high-speed motor drives and medium voltage drives. Early career experience includes working as an Assistant Executive Engineer for oil and gas operations and a project associate at IISc.
