Blake Nelson

Blake Nelson, PhD, is a Systems Team Manager at Wolfspeed, where since September 2020, responsibility includes leading the Case Module Systems Team and supporting customer development of power converters. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Alabama from August 2016 to September 2020, working in the Advanced Controls and Energy Systems Lab under Dr. Andrew Lemmon. Additional roles include a Summer Intern position at Wolfspeed in 2019, focused on medium voltage module development, and a Co-op Engineer at R.L. Consulting, Inc., where responsibilities included control systems design for various industries. Blake holds a PhD, an MS, and a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, all from The University of Alabama.
