Jared Putnam

Jared Putnam is a Materials & Process Engineer at Wolfspeed since January 2021, specializing in SiC and GaN semiconductor technology for high power and RF applications. Key achievements include managing material characterization and development projects that generated over $2 million in projected gains. Prior to this role, Jared was promoted from Materials Process Technician in under 12 months, focusing on quality production of SiC. Jared's experience also includes leading a team in a senior capstone project at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, designing a thermal dissipation system for augmented reality devices, and interning at Origin Laboratories to recommend corrosion-resistant coatings for additive manufacturing components. Earlier experience includes supporting preclinical development of bioelectronics medical devices at Galvani Bioelectronics. Jared holds a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
