Marcelo Schupbach has extensive work experience in the field of power electronics and technology development. Marcelo started their career at Arkansas Power Electronics International, Inc. in 2004, where they held the positions of Senior Engineer and later became the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As CTO, they led a team of over 25 engineers focused on advanced power electronics research and development, securing over $25 million in R&D funding. Marcelo also played a key role in leading technical programs and grant proposal writing. In 2012, they joined Cree as a Discrete Device Scientist, where they further developed their expertise in power electronics. Marcelo later took on the role of Technical Marketing Manager, leading a global team responsible for developing applications and demonstrating the benefits of Wolfspeed SiC MOSFET technology. In 2018, Marcelo joined Wolfspeed as the Head of Amplification and System Engineering. Marcelo'sresponsibilities include leading system engineering for power modules and contributing to the development of product roadmaps and market development activities. Marcelo's work experience highlights their strong leadership skills and technical expertise in power electronics.
Marcelo Schupbach earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Arkansas from 1999 to 2000. Marcelo then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the same field at the University of Arkansas, completing it from 2001 to 2004.
