Matthew Conrad is an experienced professional in research and development, currently serving as Research Manager for Intelligent Systems Technology R&D at Wolfspeed since May 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing the company’s AI and digital twin strategy. Throughout the career at Wolfspeed, Matthew has also led teams in developing custom AI-based solutions for materials research, notably in silicon carbide defect detection and machine learning projects. Prior experience includes roles at the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Graduate Student Instructor and Research Assistant, focusing on semiconductor research and educational development. Matthew holds a Ph.D. in Physics and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, along with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida.
