Matthew Howey

Matthew Howey is a skilled process engineer with extensive experience in the semiconductor and biotechnology industries. Currently serving as a Process Engineer Sustaining III at Wolfspeed since April 2018, Matthew addresses yield, quality, and throughput issues while leading process improvement projects for silicon carbide crystal growth reactors. Prior roles include Field Service Engineer at EDT-Enzymatic Deinking Technologies, where Matthew supported the deployment of innovative biotechnology in the pulp and paper sector through domestic and international trials, and a summer associate position in the same company. Matthew's earlier experiences include process engineering internships and cooperative positions at companies like Sonoco and MeadWestvaco, as well as a research role at North Carolina State University. Matthew holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Paper Science and Engineering and Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
