Tom Barbieri

Tom Barbieri is an experienced professional in the field of materials science and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Product Manager for SiC Materials at Wolfspeed since September 2013. In this role, Tom oversees silicon carbide bare substrates and epitaxy, collaborating with leaders in power semiconductor manufacturing. Prior to this, Tom held various positions at Cree, including Senior Product Engineer and R&D Scientist, focusing on LED technology and crystal growth respectively. Earlier experience at Freescale Semiconductor included roles as a Failure Analysis Engineer and Staff Process Engineer, where Tom contributed to materials characterization and wafer-bonding process operations. Additionally, Tom worked as an Assistant Professor of Physics at Simmons College and earned a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University.
