Sean Parkinson has worked in the software engineering field for over 20 years. Starting in 1995, they worked as an Analyst Programmer at Queensland TAB, where they developed the TAB Offices administrative computer on Linux and the Poker Machine Monitoring system - embedded box, using C/C++. In 1999, they moved to RSA, The Security Division of EMC, where they worked as a Consultant Software Engineer. Here, they developed cryptography software for toolkits and worked on code for Certificates, PKCS #10, PKCS #7, RNGs, Entropy, and Public Key Crypto (including ECC) using C, Java, Ruby, and Perl. Since 2016, they have been employed as a Senior Software Engineer at wolfSSL.
Sean Parkinson obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PG Dip Ed) from The University of Queensland in 1994, specializing in IPT and Junior Maths. Sean also obtained a Bachelor of Information Technology Honours (B Inf Tech Hons) from The University of Queensland between 1990 and 1993. Theirsecondary education was completed at Gympie State High.
