If you have lost a relative and cannot find a will, we can help. If our search does not find one they may have died intestate.

We can settle all legal, financial and other aspects of an intestate estate for you. This means that you do not have to navigate between other solicitors, accountants, government departments and financial institutions by yourself at this difficult time; we will manage it all for you.

Estate administration includes sorting out everything from your loved one's property, bank accounts and other assets to their pensions, debts, income tax and inheritance tax.

When there is no valid will the probate process is different from usual. The law specifies which family members are allowed to take charge of sorting out the estate and the application to obtain the legal authority to do so is also different.

Perhaps more importantly, the law lays down the rules of intestacy, which specify how the estate must be shared out. We are experts in applying these rules, in dealing with complex family relationships, and in ensuring that everybody is found and receives the inheritance to which they are legally entitled.

Our dedicated team is approachable and friendly: we will always help you to understand what is involved and to keep track of how a case is progressing.

There are no upfront costs to pay and your initial consultation is free.
