Chief Product Officer at Wonderbly

Nick Marsh has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Nick started their career as a Design and Technology Intern at the Design Council in 2005. From there, they worked as a Service Designer at Engine Service Design, where they played a key role in building up a design-led strategic consulting business. Nick also led large projects, winning new business and working with notable brands such as Philips, Mercedes-Benz, Nokia, BAA, and Orange.

Following their time at Engine Service Design, Marsh worked as a User Experience Designer at Conchango, now known as EMC Consulting. There, they brought a new set of design-led approaches to the consulting offering, working with various UK and international brands such as Virgin Media, Virgin Atlantic, Heart of England NHS Trust, Microsoft UK, and Asklepios Hospitals Group.

In 2010, Marsh joined Sidekick Studios, a small but innovative design agency, as a Design Director. In this role, they played a significant part in the agency's growth, increasing the staff count from 2 to 20. Nick worked closely with the founder to refocus the consulting proposition around "helping big companies innovate like startups," combining strategy consulting and hands-on making.

In 2013, Marsh co-founded Makeshift.io, a digital product design company and startup studio. The company aimed to develop startups using design and making-centric methods. Over 18 months, they developed several digital products with the goal of supporting smaller businesses. All projects were self-funded, and there were no clients.

Lastly, since 2015, Marsh has been working as the Chief Product Officer at Wonderbly, the world's leading personalized storytelling company. In this executive position, they oversee product leadership across Publishing and Customer Experience while also handling board reporting responsibilities.

Nick Marsh attended Goldsmiths, University of London from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a First class honours degree in Design.
