Robert Watts has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Robert is currently serving as the CTO at Wonderbly since June 2022, where they lead teams of engineers working on personal product design and development. Prior to that, they held the position of VP Engineering at Wonderbly from May 2016 to June 2022.
Before joining Wonderbly, Robert worked at Plato as a Mentor from May 2017 to July 2020. Robert also worked at Mobile Travel Technologies (now part of Travelport) as the Chief Software Architect from February 2014 to April 2016, where they led a software architecture team and oversaw the development of various software projects. Additionally, they served as a Technical Lead/Architect at Wiley from May 2008 to January 2014, where they worked on digital products and played a key role in the acquisition of Frommer's by Google.
Earlier in their career, Robert worked at Whatsonwhen (now part of Google) as a Lead Developer from March 2003 to April 2008, where they were responsible for the tech team and technology stack. Robert also co-founded Weather Index, a web 1.0 dotcom, where they served as the CTO and co-founder from January 2000 to February 2003.
Throughout their career, Robert has gained valuable experience in technology leadership, software architecture, team management, and product development.
Robert Watts attended The Open University from 2014 to 2015, where they pursued a degree in Systems Thinking. However, the field of study is unspecified.
