David Brown

David Brown is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in broadcasting and journalism. Currently serving as the host of "Business Wars" and "Business Wars Daily" at Wondery since January 2018, David also holds the position of Captain on the HQ Staff of the Texas State Guard. David has been the anchor and managing editor of "Texas Standard" at KUT Public Media since August 2005, previously anchoring and producing for Marketplace by APM from 2000 to 2005. David's earlier career includes significant roles at The Christian Science Monitor, where responsibilities included anchoring international news and serving as a correspondent in London and Washington. In addition to media roles, David Brown runs a consultancy, David Brown Media Consultancy, since 2010. Educationally, David has earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin, a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law, a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts from St. John's College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Georgia State University.
