Most organizations don't fail from lack of effort. They fail because no one is tracking what actually drives profit — and decisions are being made without the financial clarity or operational discipline to back them up.
Wood Consulting Group embeds directly with leadership teams to change that.
We provide Fractional CFO and COO services for professional service firms, law firms, SaaS companies, and health-tech organizations that have outgrown intuition-based management. Our work is not advisory. We are in the room, in the data, and in the execution — until results are real and the organization is more capable than when we arrived.
What we do:
We integrate across finance, operations, and leadership to improve how decisions are made, how resources are allocated, and how execution actually happens. Every engagement begins with an Organizational Value Assessment — built on the DECIDE™ framework — that identifies where value is being created, where it's leaking, and what must change first.
What that produces:
— DSO reduced from 64 to 33 days
— Operating margins improved from 2% to 20%
— Professional service firms scaled from 4 to 14 attorneys
— $3.25M+ in measurable enterprise value created across engagements
Who we work with:
Organizations that need executive-level financial and operational leadership without the cost or rigidity of a full-time hire. Leaders who want execution and accountability — not a report and a handoff.
Our promise:
Better decisions. Faster execution. Stronger financial performance. And an organization that is more capable long after our engagement ends.
📍 Based in Maine. Serving clients across New England and beyond.
