Gareth Wright

Gareth Wright serves as the Head of Climate Strategy & Engagement at Woodside Energy, bringing extensive experience in climate-related strategic leadership across the organization. Responsibilities include developing and implementing global scope 3 emissions strategies, facilitating cross-business alignment with corporate climate goals, and providing strategic insights for corporate strategy development. Gareth has contributed to various key initiatives, including Woodside’s climate reports and the management of strategic performance within operational divisions. In addition, Gareth holds a leadership position on the board of Australian Earth Science Education, advocating for enhanced earth science education. Previous roles include co-chairing the Vanguard Community Network at Xynteo and serving as vice chair of the Geo-information Subcommittee at IOGP. Gareth's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Cartography and advanced leadership certifications from prominent institutions.
