John O'Connell

John O'Connell is a highly experienced engineer with expertise in automated test systems, embedded application software, and firmware development. Currently serving as a Staff Test Equipment Engineer at Woodward, Inc. since 2007, John designs and develops automated test systems across various product groups and advises on data standardization for centralized analysis. Previous roles include Senior Software Engineer at Motorola Solutions, where John redesigned an Automated Test System, and Lead Software Engineer at Spitfire Controls, developing firmware for microprocessors. With a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, John's career also includes management experience at Wildfire Harley-Davidson and sales roles in the motorcycle industry, as well as military service as an Avionics Technician in the United States Marine Corps.
