The Woodwork Institute, a not-for-profit trade association of architectural woodwork manufacturers and industry suppliers, was established in 1951 and serves the architectural community.

  - Monitored Compliance Program (MCP)  
  - Certified Seismic Installation Program (CSIP) 
  - Independent Inspection Services 
  - Expert Witness Services 
  - Site Condition Inspection Services 
* Provides the North American Architectural Woodwork Standards (NAAWS) 
* Provides specification review and millwork-related expertise 
* Promotes recognition of excellence through our awards and scholarship programs  
* Presents AIA Continuing Education System (CES) credits regarding millwork topics
