David Holstein

David Holstein serves as Transportation Program Director at Woolpert since January 2022, focusing on building a leading traffic engineering team that delivers innovative, data-driven solutions to clients nationwide. Prior to this, David spent over three decades with the Ohio Department of Transportation, culminating in the role of Deputy Director for the Division of Engineering. Notable achievements during this time include the development of award-winning Maintenance of Traffic policies and the establishment of ODOT’s Statewide Traffic Management Center. David's tenure as a Transportation Engineer involved significant contributions to traffic safety initiatives and engineering practices, enhancing traffic operations through advancements such as real-time crash reporting and the implementation of reflective materials for traffic signage. Formal education includes a degree from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
