Georgios Bakas, PhD, is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in site reliability, DevOps, cloud engineering, and machine learning. Currently serving as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Workable since March 2025, Bakas previously held roles at Sitecore as a DevOps Engineer, where contributions were made to the Unified DevOps Platform team, and at D ONE as a Cloud Engineer focusing on complex business processes. Prior to these positions, Bakas gained experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at bespot., a Data Scientist at IRES, and a Control Systems Engineer at CERN. The academic background includes a PhD in Physics from the National Technical University of Athens, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Physics and Engineering Physics respectively.
