Rui Vilão

Rui Vilão has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Rui co-founded and served as the CTO of Workademy, a Creator Platform for corporate learning. At Gymondo GmbH, they worked as a Senior Lead Software Engineer, responsible for development, maintenance, testing, and software evaluation, contributing to significant cost-saving efforts. Rui also worked as a Content Editor at Baeldung and as a Senior Software Engineer at Feedzai, where they played a crucial role in the design and implementation of various modules. Prior to that, they worked at PT Inovação as a Software Engineer and at RedZinc as a Software Developer. Rui's career began as a Researcher at the University of Coimbra, where they were involved in software development and protocol implementation for FP7 programs related to quality of service support and WiMAX technology applications.

Rui Vilão has a solid educational background in Informatics Engineering. Rui completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Informatics Engineering at Universidade de Coimbra, spanning from 2004 to 2007. Building upon this, they pursued further studies and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Informatics Engineering from the same institution during 2007 to 2009. Rui also holds a certification in Functional Programming Principles in Scala, which they obtained from Coursera in May 2013.
