Aleksandr Basov

Aleksandr Basov has a diverse work experience in various roles within the software development field. Starting in 2014, they worked as an IT technician at Surgutneftegas, where they supported the entire network and monitored production systems. In 2017, they interned as a Haskell Software Engineer at Serokell OÜ and also worked as a Software Engineer-Intern at Нетология-групп. During their internship at Нетология-групп, they implemented a system for designing programming courses. Later in 2017, they joined Yandex as a Software Developer, where they were responsible for developing a leading service in Russia for learning programming and analytics. Aleksandr handled the system architecture and development, including the creation of a system to run user-code, a CMS for writing teaching content, and a backend to show content and store student's progress. Additionally, Aleksandr worked as a Guest Lecturer at Нетология-групп, where they gave lectures on software engineering topics and conducted code reviews of coding assignments. From 2018 to 2019, they took on the role of a Computer Science Teacher at Eurogym, teaching topics such as programming basics, algorithms, data structures, and web programming. In 2019, they became a Development Team Lead at Aviasales, overseeing various services related to flight price changes, authentication, user information, and support tools. Their most recent role is as a Senior Software Engineer at VK, where they work as a backend developer in the messenger team, participating in the development of new features, refactoring, code review, hiring, and onboarding. In 2023, they will join Workato as a Senior Software Development Engineer.

Aleksandr Basov received their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Innopolis University, where they studied from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Moscow Technological Institute from 2013 to 2016 as a student in the field of network and software engineering. In addition to their formal education, Aleksandr Basov also obtained a certification in Docker mastery from Udemy in January 2018.
