Ankit Baruah

Ankit Baruah has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering and data engineering roles.

Ankit most recently worked as a Software Engineer at Workato starting in September 2022.

Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at Flink from August 2021 to August 2022, where they focused on dynamic pricing and managing product and category data.

Ankit also worked as a Backend Engineer at Onefootball from May 2020 to July 2021, where they maintained microservices related to OTT streaming.

Before that, they worked at Mercari US as a Data Engineer from October 2018 to March 2020, and as a Software Engineer from December 2019 to December 2019. In these roles, they were responsible for search microservices and keeping them production available.

Ankit also gained valuable experience during their time at Google as a Google Summer of Code - Student Member, where they created new packages and data types in Python for scientific data analysis.

Ankit also worked at Samsung Electronics as a Software Engineer, focusing on improving recommendation accuracy for the Gallery app.

Lastly, Ankit worked at Dipper (Acquired by FarEye) as a Software Engineer, where they improved the accuracy of the GPS module's algorithm and created APIs for various analytics graphs.

Ankit Baruah completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Delhi Public School, Digboi and obtained their High School degree from 2000 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Ankit also received the GSoC Completion Certificate 2017 from Google.
