Stephen Shafer

Stephen Shafer currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer at A. O. Smith Corporation since March 2024. Experience also includes time at McKinsey & Company as Associate Principal and at Ford Motor Company as Manager, where duties encompassed financial analysis and supply chain leadership. Initial career experience was as an Industrial Engineer at NASA. Stephen holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
