Alet Blanken is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in AI engineering and software development. Currently serving as Vice President of AI Engineering at Workday since August 2025, Alet previously held the position of Engineering Leader for Generative AI and Data Analytics at Google Cloud from July 2022 to August 2025, focusing on integrating generative AI into data solutions. Prior experience includes roles as Software Development Manager and Senior Software Development Manager at Amazon Web Services from August 2016 to July 2022, and various positions at ACI Worldwide from June 2009 to July 2016, where Alet advanced from Software Developer to Manager of Software Development. Alet began the career as a Software Developer at Pinkmatter Solutions in early 2009. Alet holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Pretoria and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Psychology at the University of South Africa.
