Hui Liao

Hui Liao currently serves as Vice President of Product & Technology Operations at Workday, beginning in August 2025. Prior to this role, Liao held several key positions at Google between April 2018 and August 2025, including Senior Director of Technical Program Management for Google Cloud, where leadership was provided for various technical program management organizations. Liao's career at IBM spanned from August 2001 to April 2018, with responsibilities ranging from Director of Product Development for IBM Watson Innovations to Director of Engineering for Big Data development. Early experience includes roles at Informix as Team Lead and Senior Software Engineer. Hui Liao earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida.
