Matthew Grippo

VP, Cloud Platform at Workday

Matthew Grippo is the current VP of Cloud Platform at Workday. Prior to their current position, Grippo served as the Chief Technology Officer at Elephant Ventures from October 2008 to August 2011. In this role, they managed the engineering department and was responsible for coordinating engineering efforts, implementing and overseeing engineering processes, structuring teams, recruiting staff, sales, project management, and technical architecture.

Grippo also served as the Executive Director of the Manhattan Producers Alliance from October 2006 to September 2008. In this role, they developed and executed a fresh strategy for the organization that grew the membership revenue over 50%. Matthew also developed new youth and professional education initiatives.

Matthew Grippo has an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the London Business School and a B.A. in Computer and Information Sciences and Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

They are on a team with Toby Phipps - CTO, APAC, Sol Bechtold - VP, Global Technology Services, and Sayan Chakraborty - EVP, Product & Technology. Matthew Grippo reports to Jim Stratton, Chief Technology Officer.
