Shirley Yao

Shirley Yao is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in consulting and advisory services, primarily within the technology and human capital management sectors. At Workday, from March 2016 to May 2024, Shirley held multiple roles including Sr. Principal Consultant in WSP Advisory Services and Principal Customer Enablement Consultant, alongside managing Field Readiness HCM. Prior to Workday, Shirley served as a Sr. Application Management Consultant at Peoplefluent from July 2007 to December 2011, and as a Senior Consultant at CedarCrestone from October 2005 to March 2007. Earlier career experience includes a position as a Consultant at Towers Watson from August 2001 to November 2003. Academically, Shirley earned an MBA in Management Information Systems from the University at Albany and a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from the Chinese Academy of Science.
