Frances Rae Smith

Frances Rae Smith, CPA, has extensive experience in professional services and accounting, currently serving as Director of Professional Services at Workiva since August 2014, following progressive roles including Senior Manager and Team Manager within the same department. Prior to Workiva, Frances held the position of Controller at Merkle-Korff Industries and worked as a Senior Audit Associate at McGladrey & Pullen for seven years. Frances began the career as an Accounting Clerk/Intern at Nisen & Elliott, LLC and gained auditing experience as an intern at McGladrey & Pullen, LLP. Frances earned a BS in Accounting and Marketing from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2006.
