Andrew Yap

Andrew Yap is a Senior Backend Developer at WorkJam, where they have been since 2025. With a decade of experience in the software development life cycle, Andrew specializes in creating RESTful APIs using Java with Spring and Hibernate, all deployed in Docker. Andrew previously worked at Sun Life Financial Asia Services Ltd. from 2016 to 2022 as a Systems Analyst and later as a Platform Manager, where they developed key API projects and managed a chatbot platform. Andrew began their career as a Software Developer at Indra from 2012 to 2016, before transitioning to roles at Avaloq and WorkJam. They hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from De La Salle University, earned in 2011.
