Edwin Mwangi

Edwin Mwangi began their work experience in 2011 as a Business Development Manager at Tarakilishi Technologies Ltd, where they designed customer responsive products using cutting edge technology. In 2014, they joined Equity Bank Limited as a Financial Information Systems Analyst, responsible for analyzing the bank's financial information systems and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. In 2017, Mwangi joined Workpay as the Head of Business Development & Strategy, where they successfully built a loyal client base for the HRM and Payroll solution. Edwin also led the development of the product strategy for the expansion of the business to other African countries. Mwangi's achievements at Workpay include signing over 300 SMBs and managing over 30,000 employees on the platform. Edwin has received accolades such as being part of Google for Startups Accelerator Africa 4th Batch and Y Combinator Winter 2020 Batch. Edwin Mwangi aims to reach over 300,000 employees on the Workpay platform by June 2022.

Edwin Mwangi completed a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Nairobi. Edwin pursued their undergraduate education from 2007 to 2011. Subsequently, Edwin obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management Information Systems from the same institution, attending from 2012 to 2014.
