John Hurley

John Hurley, CFA, CAIA has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. John started in 1996 as a Client Service Officer at Royal Trust. John then moved on to Crescent Studios Inc. in 1999, where they served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration until 2001. From 2002 to 2003, John worked as a Treasury Analyst at Énergie NB Power before joining Ensemble Collaboration Corp. as the Director of Finance from 2003 to 2005.

In 2005, John joined WorkSafeNB/Travail sécuritaire NB where they held various positions. From 2005 to 2018, they worked as a Senior Investment Analyst. In 2019, they became the Treasurer and served in that role until 2021. Since January 2022, John has been the Chief Investment Officer - Alternative Investments, overseeing the investment management of the alternatives portfolio of a $2.1 billion fund at WorkSafeNB/Travail sécuritaire NB.

John Hurley, CFA, CAIA graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1996. John obtained their Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder designation in September 2001 from the CFA Institute. Additionally, in May 2021, they earned the CAIA Charterholder designation from the CAIA Association.
