Our mission is to ensure the high quality of natural and cultural environment for all Beings - both wildlife and people. We begun our work in 1988, when NGOs could not yet be registered in Poland, to save one of the most beautiful places in the Silesian Beskid, the Valley of Wapienica in Bielsko Biała. 

Since then, we have been carrying out interventions and campaigns to save most valuable wild places, including the Białowieża Forest, solving environmental problems related to road construction, protecting large carnivores, the climate and mountain ecosystems, and promoting the deep ecology philosophy. Our activities lead to legal protection of the wolf, doubling the area of the Białowieża National Park and preventing construction of two large coal power plants which would have become major climate wreckers.   

We strive for systemic changes of environmental protection policy and law to ensure not only the well being of wildlife, but also civil society's undisrupted participation in these processes. 

We publish a monthly magazine 'Dzikie Życie' (wild life) which is fully independent from business, political and religious influence and covers most pressing environmental issues rarely covered by other media.
