Karianna Larson developed an affinity for architecture at a young age, combining her interests in math and art to arrive at a perfect outlet for creative problem-solving. Karianna earned a BFA in architecture with a minor in construction from South Dakota State University, going on to receive her Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota. Her career began in Minneapolis, working on historic preservation projects before joining a larger firm to take on institutional architecture. From these experiences, she learned about the power of designing for community, and she has taken her interest in social living to Workshop/APD, where she is working on development projects across the U.S. Outside of design, she spends her time outside, exploring the surrounding national parks.
