Sarah Tien

For Sarah Tien, architecture is a creative form of empathy – a space for creating a relationship with an occupant through the design of a physical space. Her experience, which ranges from hospitality, cultural, and experiential projects to commercial and industrial spaces, has allowed her to leave a footprint in many people’s lives through design. Though she is a San Jose, California, native, much of her experience is in New York City, a place that has long been a source of inspiration for Sarah for its layered architectural history. Sarah received her Bachelor of Architecture with a concentration in building technology from Cornell University.
