Sean Lee

Architectural designer Sean Lee is always building – from his project work to his passion for custom computers – and spends much of his time catching up on the latest technology. At Workshop/APD, Sean’s work includes ground-up architectural design and renovation, overseeing design coordination with a special emphasis on technical systems and solutions. Though he planned to pursue a career in product design, Sean realized early on that architecture would provide the opportunity to work at all scales, a holistic approach that he finds particularly appealing. A native of Seoul, Korea, earned a Bachelor’s degree in architecture from Rhode Island School of Design before moving to New York in 2013 to work on residential hospitality and cultural competition projects as well as workplace design. He enjoys the collaborative nature of his work, exploring and translating the philosophy or thesis of a project into a visual diagram, then a program, and finally seeing it realized in partnership with a collaborative team.
