Xing Jin

Research Leader at World Centric

Xing Jin is an accomplished research leader at World Centric since February 2012, focusing on the development of compostable products for foodservice and packaging using various bioproducts. Prior to this role, Xing served as a senior research scientist in the Clemson University-MUSC Bioengineering Program, where contributions included the development of biomedical scaffolds and a novel injectable hydrogel design. Experience also includes a position as a research scientist in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Clemson University, where innovative work involved the fabrication of functional phase structures and the use of industrial-scale equipment. As a postdoctoral researcher at both the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of California at Davis, Xing specialized in synthesizing colloid particles and preparing nanofibrous membranes. Earlier career experience included engineering roles at China Aerospace, working on polyurethane-based composite elastomers. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Polymer Materials from Penn State University and earlier studies at the National University of Singapore and Harbin Institute of Technology.
