Dr. Aboubacar Guindo is an experienced international civil servant with nearly two decades in strategic planning, policy dialogue, and program development. Currently, they serve as the Deputy Country Director of the United Nations World Food Programme in Cameroon and São Tomé & Príncipe, managing initiatives that support nearly one million people through cash assistance and in-kind support. Dr. Guindo has previously held various leadership roles within the WFP and served as a Programme Officer at UNAIDS. Educated with a Doctor of Medicine and advanced degrees in Environmental Leadership and International Relations, they are passionate about youth development and empowering communities through resilience-building efforts.
