Kylie Bates currently serves as the Lead for Global Sport Strategy at UN Women, focusing on utilizing sport to promote gender equality, while also leading initiatives related to sport and the prevention of violence against women and girls. In addition to roles at UN Women, Kylie is a trustee for both the World Netball Foundation and the Commonwealth Sport Foundation. Previous experience includes strategy design at the International Olympic Committee, managing director of GameChangers, and roles with the Australian Sports Commission and Surfing Australia, where significant projects in sport for development were executed across Asia and the Pacific. Kylie's academic credentials include a Master’s degree in International and Community Development from Deakin University and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Movement Studies from The University of Queensland.
